«Social Theatre for the Active Generation in the EU (ON S.T.A.G.E)»

Erasmus+, 01/10/2023-31/03/2025

The project “Social Theatre for the Active Generation in the EU (ON S.T.A.G.E)” targets young people (aged 18-30) from racial or ethnic minorities who speak English and is implemented under the ERASMUS+ program. The project aims to:

  • Engage young people with political issues through theatre.
  • Create accessible materials for the 2024 EU elections.
  • Promote social inclusion of marginalized youth and ethnic minorities in national and European political processes.

The project is executed by four organizations:

Alrahallah Theater Berlin Association (Germany)

Hanta Educational Services Ltd (Ireland)

Visual Puppet Theater Prasin Aloga (Greece)

For Citizens (Portugal)

Participants from each country will complete questionnaires and join roundtable discussions about the European elections and the importance of voting. They will also take part in online puppet theatre workshops lasting four weeks and in-person seminars in Greece and Germany, leading to the creation of video performances.
