Social Theatre for the Active Generation in the EU

Live a theatrical experience!
We are looking for five individuals aged 18-30, who are Greek citizens with migrant backgrounds and want to engage in theater to explore how theater can become a tool for community participation. We will learn to utilize theater as a means of participation in political and social life. Through discussions, we will share our personal experiences and explore the significance of voting. The collaboration within the group will lead to the creation of improvisations using the technique of Devised Theatre, culminating in a performance.
First Stage: Puppet Theater (Visual Puppet Theater “Prasin Aloga”)
Through workshops in the art of puppet theater, we will learn to construct a puppet, animate it, narrate a story, engage in improvisation, and create a performance.
Second Stage: Physical Theater (Alrahallah theater – Berlin e.V)
Through theater workshops, we will learn to use our body and voice to communicate emotions, work as an intercultural team, build trust relationships among individuals with different cultural backgrounds, and create a performance.
Upon completing this theatrical experience, the Greek team will be able to integrate its performance into the cultural program of the ANASA Cultural Center. ANASA, along with “Prasin Aloga,” will guide and support the group to develop its artistic voice and present its work to the wider audience as a professional social theater troupe.

Social Theater for Active Generation in the EU (ON S.T.A.G.E) is a project for young people implemented within the framework of ERASMUS+ (KA210) with the following objectives:
- Engaging young people in political issues through theater.
- Creating accessible materials for the 2024 EU elections.
- Promoting the social integration of marginalized youth and ethnic minorities in national and European political processes.
